Drs. Brock and Fernette Eide, authors of The Dyslexic Advantage (revised and updated, 2023) present the case that dyslexia should not be defined as a deficiency or defect, but rather a cognitive specialization that builds on dyslexic MIND strengths.
Drs. Brock and Fernette are co-founders of the non-profit DyslexicAdvantage.org and Neurolearning, a social purpose company that creating an informative cost-effective dyslexia screening tool for ages 7-70. Leading voices in the field of dyslexia, the Eides and their work have been featured by Scientific American, Wired Magazine, The Washington Post, The Times of London, NPR , Stanford Graduate School of Education, International Dyslexia Association, Educational Leadership, Prince Carl Philips and Princess Sofia of Sweden's Foundation, and the President's Council on Bioethics.
