Episode 3, Season 2 | September 1, 2021
From panic attacks to self-harm, one brave mom shares her story of supporting her daughter with anxiety and depression. When you’re worried about your child, your days revolve around gathering the resources and help that they need. But what about you? Your emotions as a parent may exacerbate your own mental health challenges, and raise feelings of self-doubt or blame. Don’t miss our conversation with Kimm Angel, as she shares strategies for supporting your child (and yourself), what she knows now and what she wishes she knew then.
Kimm is a Bay Area native and has recently joined Children’s Health Council as a communication specialist within CHC’s marketing team. Past work experience includes working in development at The Stanford Fund where she assisted in prospect, volunteer management and communications. Kimm has a strong passion for teens. She recently recruited and trained a team of high school leaders to deliver over 1000 hours of community service annually. Outside of CHC, Kimm enjoys hanging out with her two daughters, listening to music and finding time alone with a good book.
