Lauren has worked professionally for profit and not-for-profit organizations with a focus on fundraising. Early work experience in the Bay Area included sales for a technology company, and later, fundraising and research for a venture capital firm. After moving to Chicago, Lauren worked as a Senior Major Gift Officer at the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital Foundation. There she found her passion for working in children’s healthcare. Lauren served as a volunteer for CHC for twelve years before joining CHC’s Advancement team. She and her husband, Prairie Sims, live in Palo Alto with their two children, Jackson and Colton. Lauren earned her BA from the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Southern California.
